Monument (double circle) located above green dot
Green Section: graves of my maternal great grandfather Daniel Post and his second wife Grace (Ryan) Post alongside of my grandfather Leon Vern Smith and grandmother Ona Dort (Post) Smith.
Yellow Section: graves of great-great grandfather John Franklin Post, Jr., some of Daniel's siblings and the yet-unidentified grave marked "Mother" which may be Daniel's maternal grandmother, Thorodea (Dedinger) Fulmer, wife of Wendel, 1846 German emigrants.
John F. Post, Jr.'s unmarked grave to right of "Mother" headstone
Next to him is unmarked grave of his first child, Franklin.
End stone marks grave of daughter, Nellie.
In this lot of 8 graves, only one other is used and set
with a headstone, John's son Edward.
Although John's wife Elizabeth remarried following his death,
her death certificate lists this cemetery as her burial place.
Cemetery records cannot confirm that she may be buried
in one of the three other unmarked graves in the Post lot.
Note: Highland Cemetery is at 943 N. River St.
John Franklin Post lived just down the street at 803 River St.
