(The children of the four GloverSmith siblings belong to Generation 2—add one more “X” to signify an additional generation removed from the pioneer cousin; Generation 3—add two more “X”, etc. For instance, Eleanor Cease was “1st C-4x” to me as GloverSmith Generation 1; she would be “1st C-5x” for Generation 2; “1st C-6x” for Generation 3)
The people considered early “pioneers” were those Mormons who traveled overland to Utah by wagon or handcart (and mostly on foot) prior to the construction of the first transcontinental railroad, completed in 1869.

o Married John Social Rolph, plural wife; nine children
o On July 6, 1861, Diantha had her LDS endowments/sacred blessings. That same day, her husband John married two more women: Elizabeth Schaffer, 32, and Emily Potterill, a 13-year-old immigrant from England who had come across the plains with her widowed mother. All told, John had at least 22 children by five wives.

o Born Connecticut
o To Utah 1847, Daniel Spencer/Ira Eldredge Co. (departed from Elkhorn, Nebraska) in one of first Mormon wagon trains to Utah ("First 100")
o Born in Connecticut; left husband and son to follow Mormon destination; she would eventually travel 2,277 miles west from her birthplace
o Married Thaddeus King; m. Wm Peacock, then John Benbow (both English Mormons); not a plural wife; four children

o Married Warren Peck; as widow married Ebenezer Page, Jr. named in a treason case Missouri v. Joseph Smith. Ebenezer abandoned Hannah to join the Strangite apostate group; she then married Nathaniel Riggs at Nauvoo, IL shortly before departure to Utah. A few years later she married James D. W. Hendricks at Salt Lake City. Seven children.
o Hannah’s brother Thorit married the sister of Ebenezer Page, Jr.
o Ebenezer’s mother died on Beaver Island (see “King Strang”)
